STEM Fridays w/Affirm Leadership Christian Academy
Date: 1st Friday Every Month
Time: 10:30AM-12:30PM
Location:  Affirm Leadership Christian Academy
Event Details: Affirm Leadership Christian Academy provides STEAM and Architecture education for underrepresented girls, with a strong emphasis on Christian values, business, the arts, and exposure to STEM careers. Each month, Building Bridges, Inc. partners with the Academy to deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences that inspire confidence, creativity, and leadership in young women.
Volunteer Duties: As a volunteer, you can expect to: support instructors with classroom setup and activity preparation, assist students as they work through STEAM projects, encourage student participation and confidence during hands-on activities, share insights on STEM careers and pathways, and help with cleanup and resetting the classroom after activities.
Family STEM Night
Date: Friday, November 14
Time: 5pm-7pm
Location:  Southside STEM Station
Event Details: We’re looking for volunteers to help make Family STEM Night a success! Hosted by Southside STEM Station, this community event will bring families together for an evening of fun, hands-on STEM exploration. Volunteers are essential in creating an engaging and welcoming experience for all participants.
Volunteer Duties: As a volunteer, you can expect to: assist with activity setup and preparation, support families and students as they participate in a STEM activity, encourage participation and confidence during the STEM activity, and help with cleanup and resetting the space after the event.
After-School w/ Lara Academy Pink Panthers
Date: Select Dates in October
Time: Specific Times
Location:  Lara Academy
Event Details: Join us on select days in November and December for a hands-on science class at Lara Academy. Students will explore different STEM topics through fun experiments and projects designed to spark curiosity and build confidence.
